Hello,

The lastest update 11 to coldfusion 11 ruins cftextarea. Looking at the network requests, it attempts to request CKEditor/CKEditor.js, but coldfusion 11 has FCKEditor/fckeditor.js.

I had to uninstall the update. Huge bug

For more, including a possible workaround, see a comment I offered in the Adobe blog post where the bug poster first raised the issue: http://blogs.coldfusion.com/post.cfm/coldfusion-11-update-11-and-coldfusion-10-update-22-released#comment-AF304A2A-DB76-8DAC-8001C73BF3E56577

Here are the steps to apply the fix for FCKEditor: 1. Place the attached "hf1100-301892.jar " file inside "<coldfusion-home>\cfusion\lib\updates". 2. Place the attached "cfrichtexteditor.js" file inside "<coldfusion-home>\cfusion\wwwroot\CFIDE\scripts\ajax\package". 3. Restart the server. Let us know if you have any questions.

Dattanand, The cfrichtexteditor.js file you attached contains some serious errors, look at line line 288 and line 309. This fix does not work.

@Burke There was an issue in the way the file got uploaded. Now I have shared a Fix.zip file which contain "cfrichtexteditor.js" and "hf1100-301892.jar", please try with this. Let me know if you still face any issue.

Can anyone from Adobe confirm if any subsequent update of CF11 included this, in which case folks on that version should NOT apply this fix (as the newer version may have updates not in this provided jar). I know it says above "fixed in build 302560" but that doesn't translate obviously to a particular update, like CF 11 update 12. Also, regarding my first comment above, that was offered before this update. I'd love to delete it if I could, to save readers following where I pointed them. This jar is indeed the "workaround" at least for those on CF11 update 11 specifically. We'll see about update 12.
