Would be great for there to be a message that states JS is required at the login screen so that people not aware that JS is required can enable JS and get it installed.

Large issue as windows servers have IE in protected mode by default which disables JS.

- may exists in 2016 as well

Hi Chris , I see the JavaScript enable message on login page when tried on ColdFusion 11 (Build#11,0,08,298512) and ColdFusion 2016 as well . Can you please tell on which build you are on ? I have also attached screenshot and please check javascript behaviour what you are looking for ? Thanks, Mukesh

This issue relates to CF-3761527 which was closed as it was not a bug. I don't have the time at the minute to do an install to see if the message appears when you first load the admin via the setup wizard. Your screenshot relates to the general CF Admin not the setup wizard i think. Also i totally did not receive any notification that you replied to this, just stumbled upon this when looking through bugs.
