Problem: If there exists a Sandbox Security location pointing to a location on your disk and then if you update the path to point to a different location under Security > Sandbox Security > Files and Dirs, it would be updated but under Sandbox Security it continues to show the original path.

Method:

1) Navigate to Security --> Sandbox Security.
2) Create a Sandbox Security for any location on your disk.
3) Now, edit the existing path listed under Sandbox Security, by clicking Edit Button -- Go to Files & Dirs.
4) Click on Edit under the Actions, update the path to point to a completely different location.
5) Click Finish.

Result: The path gets updated under Files & Dirs but Sandbox Security continues to show original path.

Expected: The path under Sandbox Security show also get updated to the path being currently pointed.

Workaround: None

Additional Information:

1) This behavior is same in CF 9, CF 10, CF 11.
2) Enabling the checkbox for 'Enable ColdFusion Sandbox Security' and restarting CF Application Server Service does not make any change either.

Comments:

Files & directories permissions are used to specify which files and directories permissions does the code inside the created security sandbox path will get during execution. It is not related to sandbox path. By default when we create sandbox we provide permissions for the folder for which sandbox is created.
