After working with Nimit for a while, there will finally be a hot fix that will make Secure WebSockets work with pcks12 cert. Now after working with the hot fix given to me, I can confirm that it does work but I did notice the following new issue.
For any developer where they may be hosting multiple sites in HTTPS on the same IIS or Apache server, the solution would fail if the cert does not match the requesting site. ColdFusion only allows defining one cert for internal use. If using proxy this does not matter but that still requires IIS8 or Apache with mod_worker.
Maybe in the future add a feature where the SSL cert to use can be defined per site if using the internal WebSocket server.
BTW I just picked any platform as it is required by this form (should not be or give a does not apply option)
