The question isn't how, it's why. To be clear, the jee install option is for creating an ear or war that you would use to install on a jee server--the presumption being that this allowed those who have a jee server (or servlet engine) to deploy cf onto it. There is simply no reason to bother with the jee option if you install the cf server edition. As for why it may not work if you try, note also that the tomcat underlying the cf server deployment option is a MODIFIED version of tomcat. And before you or anyone asks, the differences have never been documented. Let us know if this answers your question.

Your two replies here read as if you did not even consider what I wrote. Perhaps it's a challenge if English may not be your native language, so I will try again. In my last sentence, I explained that the differences have never been documented (that I know of), so I don't understand why you are asking me to "tell you the details". There are none documented that I can relate, and I have never known of anyone ever having detailed the differences.  If Adobe doesn't answer here, then I don't think you can expect to ever know the differences. And then you ask me to tell you "the directory structure for WAR file deployment in Standalone CF 2018 App. Server". What do you mean "tell you the dir structure"? The dir structure of the WAR is a standard (defined by the JEE spec) and can be seen simply enough by unzipping the war. But then you refer to "deployment in standalone cf2018". Again, that is NOT what you should be doing with the JEE war. That's for deploying on any OTHER JEE server or servlet engine, besides the Tomcat that underlies CF when deployed in its server form. Asking over and over how to do something you're told you <strong>should not do</strong> seems curious. Again, perhaps it's down to language differences. There's simply no reason to do it). But finally note that it DOES have a section on the directory structure of the WAR, that you asked about. I hope this answers things for you. If not, you really need to make more clear why you are pressing this point.

One more point: if the reason you press this matter is that you have some reason you prefer to deploy CF as a WAR file, that's fine. You can indeed do it. You just can't do it in the implementation of Tomcat that underlies CF. But you can simply install Tomcat separately on the same machine (if you have some reason to have BOTH the server deployment of CF AND also a deployment of CF as a WAR file). There's nothing to prevent you doing that. It seems curious for other than research reasons, but perhaps you have your reasons. Let us know if that helps, or somehow still you are not satisfied with these answers. Or maybe someone else (including Adobe) will see something you're asking that I am missing and will offer a better answer for you.
