I have a love hate relationship with ORM. When I first saw it I thought of just a .Net technology. Then I though of all the SQL queries that I could (and did) write that did not map into ORM. But after a second look... I still didn't like it. But I have to admit it grew on me as I all the different kind of compositions that it can do. I really like that I can tie functions to entities. Now I see it as more flexible and useful than it appeared at first glance. Shameless plug: I have a video series that I am posting on REST coldfusion.adobe.com.
